Oh wait, where was this dress 2 years ago? Although I guess I would have had to have gotten a visit from height fairy 33 years ago in order to wear it…

Want | UNIQLO and LEMAIRE
For their upcoming capsule collection, the Japanese retailer Uniqlo has teamed up with the former creative director at Hermès, Christophe Lemaire. Now, I had no idea who Lemaire was, but 2 things got me really excited about this collaboration: the word Hermès, as well as the fact that Lemaire’s aesthetic has been compared to The Row’s – modern luxury, with a “penchant for cashmere, leather and buttery silk”. I was also intrigued by the fact that he has been quoted as saying that his eponymous label and Uniqlo shared “a singular, democratic vision”, as I find it quite rare to come across a fashion collaboration that truly feels organic. He carried on saying that Lemaire is not a luxury brand per se, but rather one that, just like Uniqlo, tried to do “qualitative garments that will last. (…) to fit everybody’s lifestyle and morphology without compromising the style.”
After seeing the first images from the campaign, I’m definitely left wanting more.
The collection – that will hopefully be centered around those great cozy knits – will consist of 30 pieces for women and 25 pieces for men. It will be available online and in-stores as of October 2015. Just in time for Fall.
Happy shopping everyone!
Want | Apple Watch
Some might say that I’m late to the party, but believe me I’m not. It’s just that it took me this long to admit it out loud: I too want an Apple watch. Now, I don’t want one because it’s a cool gadget: I tend to use my watch to tell the time, so I couldn’t care less that it’ll make all the ways in which I’m “used to communicating more convenient”. Plus, the last thing I need is another reminder of my laziness and lack of daily activity. But I do agree with them when they say that a watch is an “expression of personal taste” and that consequently there is an Apple Watch for everyone. Here’s mine:
What can I say? They had me at “18-Carat Rose Gold”…
Happy shopping everyone!
Have | Birkenstock Madrid EVA
I did it: I caved and bought white sandals…
Believe me, I didn’t start my day thinking I’d end up with white sandals. They were the furthest thing from my mind as I rushed out of the door to go to my hair appointment this morning. Yes, I know that we’re Wednesday today, but I’ll be out of town on Saturday so this week it had to be a Wednesday morning ritual. After my appointment, I went to Urban Outfitters because they seem to be the only retailer in Montreal that sells the Birkenstock EVA Madrid that I’ve been eyeing. In black. But since they no longer had them in my size, I tried on the white ones, just to see… and that’s how I ended up with white sandals. So much for “I detest white shoes probably more than I love black clothing”.

P.S. Tomorrow, I plan on wearing them with my “glorified potato sac”. Normcore, here I come.
Wish | Sac du Jour by Saint Laurent
Twice. Since Saturday, twice did I see someone with Saint Laurent’s coveted Sac du Jour. And let me tell you, it is per-fec-tion. So perfect in fact that yesterday I couldn’t help but compliment the lucky woman clutching hers. My husband always teases me about the fact that I will literarily stop people on the street to compliment them on their appearance, attire, accessories or shoes. I just can’t help myself: when I see something I like, I need to voice it. And right now, what I like is the Sac du Jour. It is minimalism at its best: so simple and yet, so sleek. The bag comes in 4 different sizes, with my favorite one being the Nano.

I strongly encourage you to take a closer look at it on the official online Saint Laurent store or on Montreal’s very own international online retailer, SSENSE.
Happy browsing!
